Entrance and Exit Ramps

Entrance and exit ramps are not only important building modules required to fulfil the traffic function of the STRASSENHAUS system but they are also crucial for logistics, safety and the flow of traffic as well as traffic flow control.

The distance between two entrance and exit ramps should preferably not be longer than 1 km. In addition, the entrance and exit ramps will be arranged and dimensioned in such a way that they prevent the formation of traffic jams.

We distinguish the following variants of entrance and exit ramps:

1. Ramp

2. Entrance and exit module roundabout with low capacity

3. Separate entrance and exit construction with high capacity

4. Entrance and exit ramp at intersections

5. Elevator

6. Utilization of territorial differences in elevation

For this purpose there are ready-made structures available which can be added to the STRASSENHAUS (figure 1).

Entrance and exit ramps combined with buildings are no novelty. Such buildings were already constructed as high-rise buildings in Chicago in the year 1962 (figure 2).
